Why we built a room, not a platform
Generative voice tools improved quickly, but the output many teams received still sounded like output — flat emphasis, wrong breaths, licensing ambiguity. We founded Voice Forge AI in 2024 as a response: a Canadian production house where producers sit at the console, scripts are read for intention, and deliverables leave with documented usage rights.
Our clients include documentary producers, animation studios, podcast networks, agencies and product teams who need narration and dialogue that survives critical listening. We are incorporated in British Columbia as Voice Forge AI Inc. (BN 851903674 RC0001) and work primarily in CAD with clear project agreements.
The .life domain reflects our focus on living speech — pacing, pause, breath — not wellness branding, mindfulness content or self-help programming. We are not a DAW vendor, not a plugin marketplace, and not an online course. We are an AI voice and audio studio that uses text-to-speech and neural voice generation — then forges the result in the room until it sounds recorded.
How we work with AI responsibly
Every project begins with scope: script length, languages, delivery formats, revision rounds, turnaround and usage channels. We select voice models based on the brief — not a default pipeline carried over from the last engagement. Producers direct performance, edit takes, apply post and listen on reference monitors before anything ships.
Voice likeness work requires documented consent from rights holders. We do not clone real voices without permission, do not reproduce copyrighted performances, and do not guarantee indistinguishable synthetic speech. AI outputs can contain artefacts, unintended cadence or similarity to existing recordings; human review is how we catch issues before delivery.
Usage rights are defined per project in our agreement and summarised on delivery. Most clients receive a commercial licence for agreed channels and territories; we do not use client audio in our own marketing without separate written consent.
The neighbourhood
Mount Pleasant sits between False Creek and Main Street — a corridor where animation houses, independent publishers and rehearsal studios share blocks with fabricators and coffee roasters. West 5th Avenue carries foot traffic from the Canada Line and the seawall paths; our clients often walk over for a directed session or send scripts from offices nearby. The room itself is built for critical listening: treated walls, reference monitors and a console layout that keeps producers facing the script, not the screen.
We chose Vancouver deliberately. Canadian privacy law, bilingual delivery needs and Pacific time-zone overlap with West Coast clients make BC a practical home base. Most engagements run remotely with review calls and secure file transfer; local clients are welcome to attend sessions by appointment.
