FAQ
Questions before you book
Straight answers about what Voice Forge AI is, how we price projects, and what you can expect from directed AI voice production.
Is Voice Forge AI a wellness brand, a DAW-software shop, or a course — and do you clone voices without consent or guarantee indistinguishable audio?
No. The .life TLD is branding only — it refers to living speech, not wellness, mindfulness or self-help programming. Voice Forge AI is an AI voice and audio studio: we use text-to-speech, neural voice models and AI-assisted production workflows, with human producers directing every project. We are not a DAW subscription, plugin marketplace, stock-voice library or online course.
We do not clone real voices without documented consent from the rights holder. We do not guarantee indistinguishable synthetic speech, perfect lip-sync in every language, or specific audience or commercial outcomes. AI-generated voice can contain artefacts, unintended cadence, phase issues or similarity to existing recordings. Every deliverable is producer-reviewed before it leaves the studio. Usage rights and licensing terms are clarified in writing on every project.
What does a typical CAD voice project cost?
Focused narration packages often start around C$3,200–C$5,800 depending on script length, language count and post requirements. Multi-character dialogue sets with extended revision rounds typically range from C$7,500 upward. Commercial spot packages and podcast show bundles are quoted separately based on cut count and loudness targets.
Retainer arrangements for teams with continuous voice output are customised with reserved studio hours, rollover terms and a dedicated producer contact. Every quote includes project scope, turnaround estimate, revision rounds and delivery formats in writing before work begins. Figures on our site are illustrative — not guarantees or binding price lists.
How long does a standard project take?
A scoped narration brief with under twenty minutes of finished audio often receives a first directed pass within 36–48 business hours after the script and pronunciation notes are confirmed. Character dialogue and dubbing projects take longer because scene-by-scene direction and lip-sync alignment add production time.
Rush timelines are possible when studio capacity allows; we quote rush fees honestly rather than promising impossible turnarounds. Revision rounds are included in the quoted scope — additional rounds beyond the agreed count are quoted before work continues.
Who owns the finished audio?
Usage rights are defined per project in our agreement and summarised on delivery. Most clients receive a commercial licence covering agreed channels, territories and duration. Voice Forge AI retains no right to use your scripts or finished audio in our own marketing, portfolio or sample reels without separate written consent.
We retain ownership of our production methods, session logs and internal tooling. If you need exclusive voice timbre ownership or work-for-hire terms, state that during scoping — we accommodate many arrangements but they must be documented before production begins. Full terms are in our terms of service.
Can you match a specific performer's voice?
We do not offer celebrity voice matching, non-consensual likeness cloning or "indistinguishable replica" services. When a client supplies a licensed voice reference — for example, a performer who has signed a consent and licensing agreement — we work within the documented scope of that permission.
For most projects we explore timbre lanes that fit the script's register and audience without imitating a recognisable person. If your brief requires likeness work, expect additional consent documentation and legal review time in the schedule.
What file formats do you deliver?
Standard delivery includes WAV at 48 kHz / 24-bit and MP3 at 320 kbps unless the brief specifies otherwise. Broadcast clients may request additional loudness documentation. Dubbing and dialogue projects can include split character stems and a combined mix. Podcast deliveries are typically mastered to -16 LUFS; broadcast deliveries to -24 LUFS when carriage requirements are stated in the brief.
Do you work with remote clients outside Vancouver?
Yes. Most projects run via script upload, video review calls and secure file delivery. Studio visits on West 5th Avenue are welcome by appointment for local clients who want to attend a directed session. We work with Canadian and international clients; usage rights and currency are stated in CAD unless otherwise agreed.
How do you handle privacy and script confidentiality?
Scripts and project materials are handled under our privacy policy, which complies with PIPEDA and BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). We do not share client materials with third parties except subprocessors necessary to deliver the service — for example, secure file transfer — and only under appropriate safeguards. Contact form data is used solely to respond to your enquiry.
